Pretty things aren’t meant to be broken. But I broke her, and now we both have to pay the price.

I’m her nightmare.

I’m her savior.

And now that I have her signature on an ironclad contract, I own her body and soul.

She doesn’t remember me.

She will.

It’s inevitable.

Because as much as I know I need to stay away, for fear of unlocking the memories I helped her father bury—I can’t.

She was the apple in the Garden, dangled in front of me, her core so tempting and sweet. A voice whispered. Just. One. Bite.

I bit.

I tasted.

I fell.

Welcome to the world of the Russian mafia, where death is your only future.

the storyline is imaginative and keeps you hooked. the only thing that could have made it more enjoyable is if we got to hear the spice instead of it being off page (fade to black). the performance of the narrator's was great.

enjoyable book

The book was good and the performance was really enjoyable to listen to just the story is a little bit slow for my liking, but overall good

Enjoyed the narration. Suspense, mystery, fear factor - really good. A bit far fetched on the genius doctor and Jack the Ripper granny decendant keeping up the historical murders, but the core love story redeemed the book.

Mafia v Historic Serial Killer!!!

The first book in a series that touches on Eagles Elite, and let me just say that Eagle Elite is one of my favourite series. Mafia romance at its best. Elite Bratva too is 100% mafia, and I was straight away sucked into the world of Nikolai and Maya. When Maya is taken by Nikolai for her own protection he tries to scare her into submission leading her to believe he is even more dangerous than her father. The more time Maya spends with Nikolai the more she sees his ‘layers’, and let me tell you. The guy has more layers than an onion. Lots of action, suspense, and a whole host of secrets in this forbidden super sexy Mafia romance. As with most most of RVD’s mafia romance the whole picture doesn’t become clear until the end, and throughout I was left anticipating the grand reveal. I was not disappointed. I can’t wait to continue the series. Tor Thom and Lia Langola narrate completely in character. A highly entertaining audio.

I love RVD’s mafia stories

Wasn’t what I was expecting from a Russian and Italian mafia book. Decent story line and loved the male character, the girl not as much. The story kept me guessing which is great but for me it needed a little bit of spice! Decent read though for a free book
