Queens and Kings is a great big treat of a book, written in Worsley's easy prose and informed by her very real scholarship. It is doubtless aimed at the Christmas market... but it is far more than a seasonal gift book.

I love Lucy and this is a nice take on the old story. But it does contain some silly mistakes. It says that Lambert Simnel came after Perkin Warbeck. And describes Thomas More as “another Protestant hero”. Lucy surely knows better and yet she has read this out loud…?

This book is amazing. Lucy’s life work at the palace was so interesting. Her writing and narration had me totally hooked. I loved it. I will certainly listen again. Thank you Lucy x

This is one of the most engaging audiobooks I’ve ever listened to! As a historian myself, I know many of the stories captured. However, the way the book is narrated, the descriptions, and first person experiences, bring a lighter way to enjoy these accounts without losing the vital details. I listen to audiobooks as I fall asleep. I set a timer and simply continue on from where the timer finished the night before. With this book, I was rewinding back to the point I remembered getting to the night before to ensure I didn’t miss a word!
