Alone and desperate, Eve sits in the control center of an alien structure. She has lost the other members of the team sent to explore exoplanet Proxima Centauri b. By mistake she has triggered a disastrous process that threatens to obliterate the planet. Just as Eve fears her best option may be a quick death, a nearby alien life form awakens from a very long sleep. It has only one task: to find and neutralize the destructive intruder from a faraway place.

I really enjoyed this series but I felt that Brandon was getting tired towards the end and just wanted done with it or perhaps he had publishers leaning on him to get the third book across the line. Regardless, a unique perspective and some really interesting ideas, they're a grown up read.

Almost but not quite

I listened to all three of the Proxima stories and I found each of them brilliant in their own rights and totally engrossing when taken as a whole. I hope there might be a 4th book. Now that I have finished the 3 I want to know what happens next! Great stories. Compliments to you Brandon Q. Morris.

A gripping story well told.

Really good story but very hard to justify the cost. Should be 1 credit for the series as very short books.

Great story but should be cheaper for the series.
