Sella's life is finally coming together.

Her cozy coastal town, Marra, has embraced the quirky charm of her shop and her sarcastic feline familiar. She's been busy fine-tuning her enchanted coffee blends, brewing up cups filled with "compassion" and "inspiration," all while navigating her blossoming romance with Cali—the ghost who never seems to let being dead steal her smile.

As Sella starts to savor the quiet life, a last-minute venue change brings a bustling festival to their sleepy streets, turning her serene days upside down and flooding the town with eccentric tourists. Among them? A society of shifters. And her old rival, another kitchen witch, who’s determined to open a competing shop and put Sella out of business.

Things heat up when the festival's famous Golden Ladle goes missing, sending Marra spiraling into gossip and suspicion. Now, it’s up to Sella and Cali to uncover the mystery before the town’s reputation is tarnished forever.

Everyone’s a suspect. And in need of their own special blend.

Oh I love this series!

Stolen objects and a mystery death????

As with the first one I listened to the audiobook narrated by Samantha Norbury! She really gets the personality of the characters spot on and I quite literally could listen to her for hours!

Big thank you to Samantha and Wren Jones for this audio copy to review!

This second mystery didn't disappoint! I am a big fan of Samantha Norbury and thanks to her I've discovered this series, but I'm usually cautious with the second instalment of any series as it is when things can go wrong. Not in this case! It has been a joy and pleasure to "see" the characters evolve and to discover more about Marra.
The narration is so good that is easy to forget that all the voices are coming from one lady. Highly recommended!

I love it!

Narration: I loved the narrator easy to listen to and I love all the different tones and voices for all the characters, Sam really brings this series to life with her voice!

Story: I loved this even more than the last one and I'm already on tenterhooks waiting for the next installation.
The character building and slow-burn romance feels authentic to what we know. The mystery was a good one with several false hints and red herrings in to keep you guessing!

Love the way you can tell when someone different is speaking!

Loved the growth of the characters in this second story. Learnt so much more about each of their back stories too and can’t wait to listen to the 3rd.

I really appreciate keeping the same narrator across the stories as their voice becomes that of the character and you start to get used to intonations etc across the books and it brings the story to life even more.

Fantastic second story

A beautiful performance by the narrator and a lovely story told. A very sweet love story about magic and espionage in a small town with all that goes with it.

Another lovely story in this series
