AN AMAZON TOP 65 BESTSELLER

I wrote a revenge list about my boss and accidentally handed it to my new CEO. Then I accidentally slept with that billionaire CEO. You'd think things couldn't get any worse, but spoiler alert: they absolutely did.

Let me explain.

That revenge list was supposed to be private—the kind you write after three margaritas and burn in the morning. And that wild weekend with a gorgeous stranger? Definitely wasn't on my to-do list. (Though maybe it should've been, because... wow.) Watching him stride onto our company stage as the new CEO Monday morning wasn't part of the plan either.

Now I'm trapped in the world's most dangerous forbidden workplace romance, where every heated glance reminds me of what those hands can do. And Jace (Mr. CEO) won't stop until he exposes the truth—unaware that his best friend is the one behind my list, and a man hiding secrets that could bring down an empire.

The question isn't whether this will blow up in our faces. It's who will lose more when it does...

From International & Amazon Top 25 Bestselling Author Kathy Lockheart, POWER is a forbidden workplace romance featuring a dangerously obsessive, morally gray billionaire CEO.

Sinners and Saints is my kind of series. Kathy Lockheart always delivers a story that not only has a fantastic romance, but also an exciting suspenseful thread that is original and thrilling. Scarlett meets Jace in a bar when she is writing her revenge list for her current boss. After "Mr Grabby Hands" told her how to get her promotion, she was angry, a little drunk and writing at a fast pace. Jace saw it and a conversation about it led them to a night of passion only to learn he is her new company CEO. He possessiveness leads to a new obsession, and need for him to know who it is so he can remove the person. But he can never know. Afraid of her own job, she keeps her mouth shut. And where is leads it surprising. Lockheart weaves a fabulous story, each scene revealing a little more feelings and a secret that builds until it explodes. This is a so good, it's a book you do not want to miss.

Connor Crais and Savannah Peachwood are so good together that I knew I was in for a treat. Crais has a variety of roles in this one, from Grabby Hands to alpha possessive boss! He brings it in every scene. Peachwood is Scarlett, smart and passionate. She created an amazing personality for Scarlett. I love this pair every time I hear them together and this listen is so good, it should automatically be a one click!

Perfect mix of romance & suspense!

I enjoyed this one. I loved how the title became such an important part of the storyline. Watching Scarlett and Jace fall for each other while facing several challenges along the way really worked for me. I loved the chemistry and tension between them, along with the emotional conversations they shared.

Scarlett is career focused and power and control are struggles that have challenged her throughout her life. This stems from her childhood, particularly her relationship with her father and the toxic environment she grew up in. She also experiences this in her work career. However, I loved her stubborn side and the way she stands up for what she believes in.
Jace is also a man who understands power and control, but Scarlett doesn’t know that when they first meet. Their chemistry was brilliant. I loved how flustered she was by the situation, while Jace was so intrigued that he had to get to know her. Add in a beautiful, no strings attached weekend that neither of them could forget, and you have a story filled with heated tension. I loved watching these two together, and the spicy scenes were fantastic.

Lastly, the audiobook was brilliant. Connor Crais and Savannah Peachwood are incredible narrators, so make sure you pick this one up in audio.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Kathy Lockheart is quickly becoming an author I can’t get enough of, and the Sinners & Saints series has been such an addictive listening journey!

Power delivers romance, suspense, chemistry and a wonderful found-family element that had me thoroughly invested in Jace and Scarlett’s story. The one-night stand that turns into a boss-and-employee situation? Well, that certainly complicates things!

Jace has that protective, take-no-prisoners energy, while Scarlett is a woman who can hold her own. Their chemistry kept me listening, and I particularly loved the banter and the group dynamics. The messages between the characters added some brilliant moments of humour and made the found-family aspect even more enjoyable.

But let’s talk about the audiobook, because Savannah Peachwood and Connor Crais are a POWER duo!

Their performances brought the characters to life, capturing the emotion, tension and chemistry that make this story work so well. The duet narration made it easy to become immersed in the story, and both narrators delivered performances that kept me engaged from beginning to end.

I’m listening to this series in order, and I’m loving discovering how each story adds something new to the Sinners & Saints world.

If you enjoy protective heroes, strong heroines, workplace romance, suspense, found family and excellent duet narration, Power is well worth adding to your audiobook library.

Kathy Lockheart, Savannah Peachwood and Connor Crais — thank you for a thoroughly entertaining listening experience. My headphones and I appreciate your work!

Power by Kathy Lockheart , this is book two in the Sinners and Saints Series. And it is a 5⭐️ read.

It was so good to jump back into the Sinners and Saints world! Getting to hear where Blake and Tessa are now before stepping into Jace and Scarlet’s story was “chef’s kiss!”

I loved getting to know these characters more deeply and watching their story unfold, but what really got me was everything surrounding them. This book gave me so much: moments that had me laughing, moments that had my eyes filling with tears, and then the kind of healing that comes from friendship and found family.

The bond between Blake, Jace, Axel and Ryker completely stole my heart. These men bantering around a poker table gave me LIFE! 😂 And Kathy, my darling… Dear Kathy Lockheart, I need in on the Sinners and Saints group chat! Please and thank you! 😂

The duet narration by Savannah Peachwood and Connor Crais was fantastic. They brought so much emotion, warmth, personality, and chemistry to the story. Their performances captured both the emotional depth and lighter moments beautifully and made this such an enjoyable listen.

This book reminded me that family isn’t always about the people we’re born to. Sometimes it’s the people who choose us, stand beside us when life gets ugly, make us laugh when we need it most, and help put the pieces back together when our hearts break.

💬 “See to me… that right there would be a red flag the size of Texas. Some woman plotting revenge. That’s not fierce. That’s the prologue to a true crime documentary.”

Spicy Level - 🌶️🌶️🌶️
