The perfect Portuguese course for travel in Portugal. It is designed to help you ask for the things you’re most likely to need when visiting Portugal and to give you the skills to cope with situations you might find yourself in.

The accompanying free booklet is also available to download at: collinsdictionary.com/resources.

It is different from other courses in that you also learn to understand the likely replies to your questions. You will hear key words and phrases used in dialogues between native speakers, so you learn not only how to say them but also how they are used in conversation.

Topics covered:

Unit 1: Hello!
Unit 2: Excuse me
Unit 3: Where's the hotel?
Unit 4: Over there
Unit 5: What would you like?
Unit 6: Have you got..?
Unit 7: Can you help me?
Unit 8: I want to go to…
Unit 9: Do you go to..?
Unit 10: It hurts
Unit 11: For when?
Unit 12: What's it like?

Phrases were indeed easy to learn, lessons are conveniently short and after a week of listening I was really able to get by in Portugal. I hope there will be a follow-up course. Being a complete beginner I enjoyed this audiobook very much.

I have tried a number of language learning audio courses, but I can honestly say that I found the Collins Easy Learnng Portuguese to be well structured. Offering you loads of opportunity to listen and repeat. Covers a wide range of topics from the basics of where is, how are you to ordering food and drinks. I am looking forward to a holiday in Portugal where I feel confident that I can put what I've learnt from this to use.
