Take a trip to Hope Cove, where the sun shines, the sea sparkles and falling in love is par for the course!

Single dad Hugh is perfectly content with his life. With an easy-going daughter, a stable job and great friends, he truly believes he has everything he needs.

At least until he meets Allie.

Injury forced Allie out of her dream career as a professional golfer, leaving her utterly lost. To recuperate, she’s spending a few weeks on the picturesque Devon coast, overseeing the golf course her dad owns.

Swept up in a whirlwind romance with Hugh, she starts to think there might be more to life than her lost career. Maybe she can even score a hole in one in the game of love!

But their relationship has barely begun when reality rudely bursts their bubble. Between tumultuous times for Hugh’s daughter, Emmy, and a mystery at the golf club, their fledgling relationship is put to the test.

And when secrets from their respective pasts are revealed, they might just both lose the game.

For a shot at something lasting, they’ll need to find a way out of the rough and get back on course for a happily ever after…

I have loved all of the series by this writer, especially the stories set around the loch, but I agree with another reviewer that this is possibly her best so far. I also love that some familiar characters from other series are woven into this story. Very good narration also, and a great idea to use a male narrator for a change, especially as a large part of the story presents the male point of view. As usual, I just can’t wait for the next book by Hannah Ellis.

An intriguing storyline, with interesting and believable characters
