Frank Peretti thrills millions with his suspense-filled, best-selling inspirational Darkness series, which portrays unforgettable confrontations between angelic and demonic forces. The first book in the series, This Present Darkness, topped Christian fiction lists. Now, the great spiritual war continues in Piercing the Darkness.

In the small town of Bacon's Corner, powerful demons are working to ensnare the souls of the townspeople. A woman has been murdered, the Christian school is under attack, and the town is divided by a legal struggle. As heavenly beings rally to aid the faithful, gigantic evil ones are on the alert, looking for any sign of weakness.

Each fast-paced chapter of this novel is filled with vivid descriptions of angels and demons. And the trials of the believers are no less absorbing. Richard Ferrone's dramatic narration highlights each test of faith and truth.

Frank Peretti opens your eyes to the supernatural like no other author I've read yet. What a good story, and although it's so old already, still very in tune with the times. There were a few times I said it loud, "the good is days of no mobile phones!“ lol.
Excellent writing and very good performance on the narrators part!

A real eye opener

Fast moving plot woven around multiple characters with the good guys facing a system stacked against them. Book does good job of illustrating what the spiritual warfare that is real but unseen looks like behind the scenes of the story.

Portrayal of what bible says about the interaction of angels and demons in the context of a good story
