Özet
The compelling Number One bestseller from the author of MY SISTER'S KEEPER and KEEPING FAITH.

A woman wakes to find herself in a graveyard, hurt and bleeding, her memory wiped clean. She doesn't know what she's doing there - or even who she is.

She is rescued by a police officer, himself a newcomer to Los Angeles. After days of waiting, she is taken by complete surprise when she is finally identified by Alex Rivers, Hollywood's biggest movie star - and her husband.

Cassie is dazzled and bewildered by the fairytale in which she suddenly finds herself. But everything is not quite right, and there is something dark and disturbing behind this glamorous facade. It is only as her memory gradually returns that her picture perfect life comes crumbling down, and Cassie is faced with choices she never dreamed she would have to make.

Loved the book, narrator did a good job but found the music a bit dated over the parts of the story diverging from the main forward plot

Great book, not sure about the music

Beautifully read and gripping story. Jodi Picoult yet again picks up on a contemporary topic and explores it - good looking wealthy and famous couple with everything to live for, yet behind closed doors he beats her. How does she behave when their lives are lived out in front of cameras and world-wide media? I loved this one!

I thought the idea for this story was intriguing. The portrayal of domestic abuse rang true and was subtly and sensitively told. I liked the legends even though it wasn't always clear why they were there. The use of music to clarify flashbacks was generally helpful to the listener even if the choice was a bit annoying and cloying at times.
However there were plot elements which I felt somehow didn't work and didn't add to the story except to its length. I listened to the abridged version only because there wasn't a full version and I usually like long novels but this novel felt as if it went on and on... and on...

Good but goes on and on.

Insightful and gripping story; not always easy to follow as it is written almost mirroring the way conflicting emotions fall over each other. Recommend the read story is thought provoking

I love Jodi Picoult books and have listened to many but I can’t seem to get past the 1st chapter because of the narration. The reader tends to drone on and has a very monotone voice. Shame. I’d love to get my money back and download another JP book with a different reader.
