They said it would end war. They lied.

Far from his old life as an off-books government assassin, Gabriel Wolfe tends his farm. Until one night, armed men arrive in SUVs and attack without mercy. They have reckoned without Wolfe’s unique mix of skills, honed in his years in British Special Forces and as a member of The Department.

Wolfe knows the attack can’t be an isolated incident. A lawyer has been offering his neighbours immense sums of money to sell up and move inland, away from the coast. He follows the only survivor of the death squad to his employer. A shady fixer in San Pedro Sula, Honduras’ second, and most violent, city. What he discovers there will take him into the heart of darkness.

With the world’s peace and security at stake, Wolfe has no option. It’s time to go back to war.

Having gone through all the series and enjoyed them, this one was very below par. Not a great story and poor narration.

Poor

What the hell were they thinking. A teenager can do better accents. No idea what the story is about, the narration is so bad it hurts. Avoid this one.

Possibly the worst narrator ever.

Awful narration. Nick Johnson brings absolutely nothing to the table as the narrator. He just sounds like a posh bloke who is trying to be tough. As an brit I was cringing at his attempts to pull off an American accent, so I dread to think what anyone from the US will make of it! He really spoils any chance of what is a pretty average storyline being remotely interesting. I've bought all the previous episodes in the Wolfe series, but I'm afraid I won't be buying any more. Wolfe (mostly due to the poor narrator) no longer butters my parsnips.

This series no longer cuts the mustard

I have followed this series since the beginning. Over the last three our four books, the storylines have become weaker and weaker. This last one was awful, especially with the grating attempt at an American accent by an English narrator. I will certainly be sending this one back for a credit refund :-(

Out with a whimper :-(

This series has been slowly going down hill for a while now but this one was the worst. I know it's just entertainment but it's verging on the cringe-worthy now
I will not be bothering with anymore.

that's it for me
