Lt. Eve Dallas is back and this time she's investigating the death of one of her own

When a retired police officer is found dead in his home, Lt. Eve Dallas and the team are called to the scene to investigate. The victim is Martin Greenleaf, former Captain of Internal Affairs. At first glance it looks like suicide but Eve thinks there could be more to this carefully laid scene than meets the eye.

Captain Greenleaf put a lot of cops away during his forty-seven years in Internal Affairs. Did the weight of the job finally prove too much for him? Or could this be a case of payback in death.....©2023 J. D. Robb (P)2023 Hachette Audio UK Crime Fiction Dedektif Gizem Kadın Kurgu Kurgu Modern Detectives Polisiye Prosedür Women Sleuths Suç Gerilim

Another superb storyline with great characters. I liked that the culprits were highlighted early but the I took a long time I find the evidence against them. I love this series. Narration is as always flawless.

Another superb audio

The story was very good and it had a good build up. I have listen to it many times and would again. I like how she knew who did it and how she built her case with her team. Great read

A good plot with the usual crowd of characters that we love along with Eve and Peabody's wit and wisdom.. The storynis well paced and keeps you guessing even though... A must read for fans of the series.
I hate to criticise the great Susan Ericson but over the last couple of books she makes Roarke in particular sound like an older man.

Keeps you wanting to read on.
