At fifteen, doctors told him he wouldn't live to see twenty-five. He had nine more years of rock bottom left to find. This is not fiction. It is the true story of one man's twenty-six-year descent into addiction, crime, and self-destruction, and the extraordinary journey back.At fifteen, curiosity became dependence. By his late teens, petty theft had escalated into international hashish smuggling, and a doctor's bleak verdict, delivered after a spell in remand, gave him only a handful of years to live. He proved them wrong. It would take him decades to discover why. From a crumbling house in Bath to the Trans-Canada Highway, from the cafés of Amsterdam to the hash farms of Morocco's Rif Mountains, Out of Control follows a young man chasing freedom in every direction except the one that might have saved him. Along the way are smugglers, close shaves, failed relationships, unexpected humour, and more than one night he should never have survived.Beneath the chaos lies a deeper story: shame, fear, and the relentless grip of addiction, told with unflinching honesty and no excuses. This is addiction as it was lived, not softened by time or filtered through hindsight. It is the authentic voice of a man who would later become a professional hypnotist before embarking on an extraordinary spiritual journey that continues in Book Two, Hypnosis to Kundalini.Out of Control is the first book in The Magi Trilogy. It is not a story that glorifies addiction or crime, but one that reveals their true cost, and the courage it takes to begin the long road back.If you are drawn to unforgettable true stories of addiction, crime, survival, and redemption, Out of Control is a memoir that will stay with you long after the final page.©2026 jeremy wheeler (P)2026 jeremy wheeler Adventurers, Explorers & Survival True Crime Anı Suç
