Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.

**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

Six shots. Five dead.

A heartland city thrown into terror. But within hours the cops have it solved. A slam-dunk case. Apart from one thing. The accused gunman refuses to talk except for a single phrase:

Get Jack Reacher for me.

Reacher lives off the grid. He's not looking for trouble. But sometimes trouble looks for him. What could connect the noble Reacher to this psychopathic killer?

_________

Although the Jack Reacher can be listened to in any order, One Shot is the 9th in the series.

‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

Eleştirmen yorumları

'Lee Child is often mistaken for a US writer, so skilfully and enthusiastically has he embraced the idiom of the American thriller ... One of the genre's finest practitioners.'
'The Jack Reacher series of thrillers...are all hugely exciting, and knowledgeable about weapons and technology. They exude a powerful sense of right and wrong. We've seen him...as a righter of wrongs and always as God's gift to women.'
'Child's strengths are fast-moving dialogue and gripping action sequences ... The excitement lasts from the first to the final page.'
'Reacher sees justice done while kicking commendable amounts of ass ... Intricate plotting makes for an engrossing read.'
'First-rate thriller, with the imperturbable Reacher meting out his brand of justice to the villains.'
'Hot, indomitable...pure, escapist gold.'

Good story but the random music that pops up at random points is annoying

I must declare right up front that I am an avid Lee Childs fan.

I felt that this story was one of the best since the very early ones with more twists than usual.

It's a shame that Tom Cruise, an actor who I normally enjoy, elected to play Reacher (a role that he is physically unsuited to in the extreme) in the film version of this story.

The fact that the film was a dog should not put anyone off listening to this Audible version of what is really a very different story.

Jeff Harding's narration added greatly to my enjoyment - a real five star listen.

One Shot is a great addiion to the 'Reacher' story

Sorry guys but the movie spoiled this for me. I cannot imagine a more inappropriate person to play Reacher than Tome Cruise - Reacher is supposed to be 6"4, muscular and very masculine - the complete opposite to Tom Cruise.

Saying that though. I very much enjoyed the unabridged version of this story - it had so much more depth than the film. I say the say thing about the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons... the book is much better.

Anyone who likes Lee Child's Jack Reacher will love this audio book - and Jeff Harding narrates it perfectly.

Better than the Movie

Really into the Lee Child Jack Reacher books. This story is good - much better than the film they made of it. But what the hell is this desire for American books to keep putting music between the chapters. So annoying and kind of ruined the book for me.
If I want to listen to music I will listen to music on my iPod, but when i choose to listen and get engrossed in a book constant irritating music repeating after each chapter is not on.
Sort this out folks.

Very annoying - WFT is it with the music
