Just too much back story and not enough direct plot.
Certain bits were over-obvious, with some 'oh for goodness sake' moments and the ending was rather simplistic.

I kept listening, but not surely why.....I nearly gave up a couple times.

story was okay ... typical. a bit too boring at some parts. narration did not help at all. not my preference.

The storyline was quite good with mystery and action. I felt something was missing as it didn't really hold my attention in places. Narrator did an awesome job.

This is such a well wrote story line you can just see yourself as one of the characters. It is well written and fast paced, every little detail is so well described you can see it all been acted out. I'm looking forward to the next book and I hope I will not be able to put that one down either

i was pretty fed up by the end with the continual whinging of the lead character. she had had a terrifying experience on her previous case, which resulted in PTSD then given a tiny bit of extended leave, which she didn't take and didn't have proper counselling. yet the bureau permitted her to return (I DON'T THINK SO). If she was so badly affected then no matter what she'd have been send well away. Replacement senior agents would have been brought in. it would have been better if she had been in that situation, not an already damaged agent.

the fact that the 'heroine ' was so flawed yet so intolerant of others
