The grave is one wrong step away.

Having narrowly averted an (under)world war, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans’ voodoo queen just keeps on giving - leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit.

Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he takes physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive. This year, however, a determined Cat and Bones must risk all to send him back to the other side of eternity - forever. But how do you kill a killer who’s already long dead?

Jeaniene Frost, New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, lives with her husband and their very spoiled dog in Florida. Although not a vampire herself, she confesses to having pale skin, wearing a lot of black, and sleeping in late whenever possible. Aside from writing, she enjoys reading, poetry, exploring old cemeteries, spelunking, and traveling - by car. Airplanes, children, and cookbooks frighten her.

at the end of each new story in this series I wonder what on earth the author can come up with to make the next installment interesting and new, and every time she doesn't disappoint.

ghosts, supernatural tracking and the doosch bag government agent I knew had to show up sooner or later, makes for another cracking story.
I wonder if doosch bag will be the baddie in the next book....

another good story

Love this series so much. Lots of passionate scenes between the main characters, and brilliant reading from Tavia. The main baddie is a ghost in this one... it's not really my thing. I preferred the other books in the series. Still awesome to hear about Kat and Bones and co. though. But I did drift off a couple times rather than being totally enthralled by it.

Good but have read better from Jeaniene Frost

It’s been a while since I’d listened to the others but quickly pick up to story

Brilliant

This isn't one of my favourite so far. The story is okay but not great, and it lacks the page turning quality of the previous book. Don's replacement is just tedious and adds nothing to the story at all. I also have to say that Gilbert's narration is gradually getting worse. Some scenes are just cringe worthy to listen to, and for some reason she decided to completely change the way she voices Bone's part way through this book. Still like the series and will get the next book, but if it's like this one I won't be bothering with the next.

Not my favourite
