Dirk De Graaf has kept his deadly secret for twenty-three years. Not one person on the planet knows.

Until today.

A chance encounter in the street threatens to expose everything and topple an empire he built with little more than ruthless cunning.

But it's just one man. One old man. And one old man can be dealt with easily enough.

Or so Dirk De Graaf thinks.

He should have picked a different old man because some old habits are hard to break and getting into trouble is Albert’s speciality.©2024 Steve Higgs (P)2025 W F Howes Ltd Amateur Sleuths Animals Cosy Modern Detectives Mystery Suspense Thriller & Suspense Alışkanlıklar

Excellent as usual but always seem too short and over too quickly. I have read them all and Albert and Rex are my favourite Steve ahiggs characters.

Excellent

I loved the first Albert Smith UK adventures and now to find new adventures in Europe is a huge delight. The possibilities that more adventures across the Globe are also possible makes me very happy. As always a good plot with lots going on. Danger, mystery and excitement with a huge dollop of endearing humour that has become a trademark in Albert and Rex adventures. Can't wait to read the next adventure

I love hearing the different viewpoints of Albert, Rex and the villain

Interesting story and settings and, although I strongly disapprove of not neutering animals, Rex is a wonderful character as is Albert. Gentle humour with a fascinating back story to the main “baddie”. I look forward to further instalments.

Loved it

I was longing for another installment of Rex &Albert. It sure did not disappoint. Kept me in suspense and made me laugh out loud. The narration was believable and matches the characters perfectly. Can't wait for the next chapter. I do hope his old army neighbour comes into play again. I did like his character- be great to have him join for a stint in Germany.

Another thoroughly enjoyable listen
