Experience the enchanting tale of Nogard & Dragon, a captivating 21-minute musical story for the young at heart. Created, scored, and narrated by Stephen Melillo, this adventure beckons you into a world of magic, adventure, courage, and change.
A small child named Dragon sets out to meet Nogard, the Protector of Truefire—a synonym for kindness and love. Their joint mission is to liberate Truefire from the clutches of the ominous Darkseekers. But there's a twist: With Dragon's unexpected assistance, the Darkseekers themselves undergo a transformation, evolving from adversaries to the architects of a new book.
Much like the timeless story of Peter and the Wolf, Nogard & Dragon unfolds as a feeling-rich fusion of music and narration. Set in the palindromic year of 1991, the original music was composed in 1984. Now, in 2023, the work is retold to be shared yet again.
This enchanting creation shares ties with a more mature young adult novel titled Only for Now. Look for it online with other treasures Ahab, a Love Story and Death to Moby Dick: a Love Story, the prequel and sequel to Melville’s Moby Dick.
Embark on this wondrous journey and relish in the message woven through each word and note. May your experience be filled with enjoyment and blessings! Godspeed!
