I love these books and have always really enjoyed the narrator - but has she been told to slow down? It’s odd. I’ve been listening at 1.25 speed to get a bit more energy! I’ve only just started so I’m hoping it gets a bit more sparky!

This is my least favourite Liane Moriarty book (I have read them all). The subject matter was disturbing and intense in this one. I really struggled listening to the narrator as well. I began it and had to force myself to come back to it a few months later to finish.

Mixed feelings for this one

Great storyline brought alive by the woman behind the voices, becomes one of my favourites.

a fantastic story to be read to you

This started off well, however I found it loose and waffly in places and could have been edited down by at least 20%. Also the story became less and less credible to the point I was starting to lose interest. Shame as I’ve loved all her previous books.

Not as good as other Moriarty books

This is an ‘easy read/listen’ and can pass the time. I personally wasn’t enthralled by the story line or by the characters (I am picky) subtle notes about a character being an author and how she responds to reviews, so I don’t want to be unkind. I certainly don’t feel enriched in any way having experienced this story. Sorry.
