The end of the world begins at dawn, when the sun rises later than it should. Then the holes appear. The first forms in Central Park, within sight of an apartment where Repairman Jack and a man as old as time watch with growing dread. Gaping holes, bottomless and empty…until sundown, when the first unearthly, hungry creatures appear.

Nightworld brings F. Paul Wilson’s Adversary Cycle and Repairman Jack saga to an apocalyptic finale as Jack and Glaeken search the Secret History to gather a ragtag army for a last stand against the Otherness and a hideously transformed Rasalom.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

As the ending to the Adversary Cycle and Repairman Jack stories it closes the series very well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack, being torn between his family and his part in the fight make him an excellent character,.

Which character – as performed by Christopher Price – was your favourite?

Pretty much all of them, the voice acting was excellent

Any additional comments?

A very good book, its not a stand alone one, and requires at least reading the Adversary Cycle . With the wealth of characters from previous stories of the Repairman Jack stories it finishes things off very nicely.

A good read

This is a newer edition and not the original from 92. Several smaller story lines have changed which i personally didn’t like.

2nd edition not the original story

What a fantastic series of books this has been - it’s been a rollercoaster of action and character driven adventures from start to finish. This grand finale brings together all the characters from previous books, with Jack front & centre of the action, to face the final challenges and try to defeat the enemy once and for all.

I didn’t read the Jack prequels first as I decided to save them until I’d completed his adult adventure in full. So now I’m going to enjoy the back story with the three books outlining the genesis of Repairman Jack with the knowledge of where his youthful journey ultimately takes him.

And so the end.

A great ending to two brilliant series. The way it merges elements from all of the different books of the Adversary cycle and Repairman into one grand finale is brilliantly done.

A great ending
