Need for Speed is the continuation of Solo and Panther’s story and should only be heard after book one, Danger Zone.

They train to serve their country.
They strive to be the best.
But only a select few can be....
The Elite

Mateo Morgan
Call Sign: Solo

Reckless, arrogant, and bold, Solo is as known in the US Navy for his bad-boy reputation as he is for his skills as a fighter pilot. It’s a surprise to his peers, then, when he’s chosen to train and compete at the most prestigious naval aviation academy in the world.

Mission Rules:
1. Kick everyone’s ass.
2. Do whatever it takes to win.
3. Do your best to distract the competition.
4. Especially when that competition is a gorgeous blue-eyed perfectionist who makes your blood run hot.

Grant Hughes
Call Sign: Panther

Disciplined, smart, and confident, Panther can’t afford not to play by the rules. As the son of a top Navy commander, all eyes are on him, and being anything less than number one is unacceptable.

Mission Rules:
1. Keep it safe in the air.
2. Prove you’re more than Commander Hughes’s son.
3. No distractions. Stay focused.
4. Don’t fall for your competition - especially not the rebellious heartbreaker with lips made for sinning.

In the heat of the hot California sun, tempers flare and desires ignite as Solo and Panther try to resist their attraction while fighting to be number one.

With passion this intense, the question remains: Who’s gonna come out on top?

Story: The natural flow of the story was very well done in this series. We jump into the plot right where it was left off. I loved the emotional side of the MCs that came out more and more in this part. The authors did a great job capturing the development of the relationship.

Narration: Very good dual narration.

The only thing I would regret tomorrow morning is if I wake up and you weren’t there.

After the push and shove of book 1, Panther and Solo finally ignite. We pick up where Book 1 finishes and Solo is forced to face the fact he has real feelings for Panther and what started as lust soon turns into more. This book is all about secret trysts and stolen moments. There’s more flying antics and partying, finishing with a pivotal moment in their relationship.

Christian and Aiden continue to bring it with their narration. At times I almost wondered if it had been recorded in duet because Christian’s voice for Panther was akin to Aiden’s. As well as some serious heat these two voice actors give us emotion after emotion, and you can’t help but be drawn into Solo and Panther’s world.

The perfect middle to this trilogy which I smashed through, not wanting it to end.

Brooke and Ella easily balance all the scorching spice with the heartfelt emotions.

Time for some spice!

This book is just as good as the first
It picks up where the first in the trilogy leaves off and this book ends of a little bit of a cliffhanger as well (albeit not as big as the first one)
These books are excellently written and there was interesting character development in this book. I feel like we get to know their thought processes better and empathise with them.
I'm excited to see how this series concludes in book 3 - I would definitely recommend!

Brilliant storytelling with top quality narration

I really enjoyed this series. I was very sad when it ended. I loved the first book best as the tension between them is red hot. This is a good sequel and Aiden Fox is a dream narrator.

Action packed

The cliffhanger ending of book 1 definitely made me want to ignore all the rest of my reading plans and get right to book 2, so that’s exactly what I did. Once again the narration is superb! This time we get a bit more of a slow burn story between Panther and Solo, with a sprinkling of hurt/comfort trope but with the same great banter their characters had in book 1. The chemistry between them is still scorching, but book 2 allows for their budding relationship to build and develop a bit more, and leads directly into book 3!

I’m hooked!
