What an absolute blessing it was to listen to John Lennox himself read his autobiography on Audible. I found it utterly riveting and am so grateful that he took the time to write it and share his journey with us.
His story is both humbling and full of gracious adventures. I was astounded by how much he has fitted into one life — the places he has travelled, the people he has met, the opportunities he has been given and, above all, the way he has used his extraordinary intellect in the service of Jesus Christ.
What particularly struck me was the combination of his remarkable academic mind and his deep, unwavering devotion to Christ. He has not simply pursued knowledge for its own sake, but has used his gifts as a spokesperson for the Gospel, engaging with some of the great intellectual questions of our time while continually pointing people towards Jesus.
I was also moved by the glimpse into his marriage and the partnership he shared with his devoted wife. Behind all the public ministry, travelling and academic achievements is a life of faithful service, sacrifice and commitment.
Listening to his story made me reflect on my own life and ask myself, What am I doing with the time God has given me? Not in a way that left me discouraged, but challenged and inspired to make better use of whatever years and opportunities remain.
Hearing John Lennox tell his own story made it all the more personal. His humility, faith and enthusiasm shine through, and I found myself wishing the book hadn't come to an end.
I am so glad he wrote this autobiography. It is a fascinating, inspiring and deeply encouraging account of a life lived wholeheartedly for Christ. I would highly recommend listening to the Audible edition, particularly because it is read by John Lennox himself.
