Gwyneth Carswell, an English lady banished by her father to the harsh Scottish Highlands, wants nothing more than to take her young son away from the violence of two fighting clans - her own distant kin, the MacIrwins, and their enemies, the MacGraths. She risks everything to rescue the fierce MacGrath warrior from the battlefield where he's left for dead by her clan. She only knows she is inexplicably drawn to him and he wants peace as she does. When her clan learns of her betrayal, they seek vengeance. Dare she trust the enemy more than her own family? Laird Alasdair MacGrath is driven to end two-hundred years of feuding with the MacIrwins. But by taking in and protecting Lady Gwyneth and her son, he provokes more attacks from his mortal enemy. As the danger and conflict surrounding them escalate, Alasdair and Gwyneth discover an explosive passion neither of them expected. With the arrival of a powerful man from her past, a horrible decision confronts her - give up her son or the man she loves.©2011 Vonda Sinclair (P)2014 Vonda Sinclair Historical Historical Fiction Kurgu Romantik İskoçyalı İskoçya

Would you listen to My Fierce Highlander again? Why?

I have never listened to an audio book twice, but I never delete them either, so if I ever wanted to listen to a book again then yes I would listen to this one :D

What other book might you compare My Fierce Highlander to, and why?

You can't compare this book to any others, excepting for the fact that it is in the same genre as other Scottish Highland romances. Every book has it's own hero and heroine and it's own story.

What does Andrew Bryan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Andrew has a very calming, relaxed narrating voice. He is a pleasure to listen to. His characterisation brings another persons idea of what that person sounds like, which is something you don't get when you read a book yourself.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Well of course it's always lovely when the hero and heroine get together :D

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and Vonda Sinclair is now one of my favourite authors.

the storyline was in places predictable but the narration of women and child voices, terrible.

Narrator needs tuition

Enjoyed. listening to this. The narrator wasnt believable when interpreting female and children's voices, so I found that a little offputting, but it didn't detract and I now want to hear the next in the series.

Absorbing, and enjoyable

Would you consider the audio edition of My Fierce Highlander to be better than the print version?

This was one of the very first audios I received, and I absolutely loved it, I don't think it's better than the print copy as I love reading but I do think it is on a level parr with it.

What did you like best about this story?

The best thing I love about the story is the accents come to life, so much better than imagining the voices

Which character – as performed by Andrew Bryan – was your favourite?

I loved all the characters

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole of it is moving as it has all emotions in it

Any additional comments?

I would definitely recommend this especially if you want to carry on doing things but don't want to put the book down because you are immersed in the story.
