USA TODAY Bestselling Author Claudia Burgoa brings us a brand new hockey romance about missed opportunities, accidental weddings, and found family.

What happens in Vegas might go viral!

The first time I met Caspian Spearman, we had the perfect night.

The second time, I was on the arm of his biggest rival.

The third night… was a string of mistakes.

Don’t believe me?

Let’s do a play-by-play—or mistake by mistake.

  1. I surprised my boyfriend in Vegas.
  2. I didn’t kill him when I caught him sleeping with his best friend.
  3. I went to the bar where I bumped into Cas.
  4. We had a few tequila shots for old times' sake.
  5. Like the last time, we ended up in bed…but it doesn’t end there.

According to the internet I’m married to the hot, arrogant, womanizer captain of the Portland Orcas.

It’s all over social media—in case we need proof.

Even my mother watched the blissful event—kill me now.

He can’t afford the bad PR.

I can’t deal with Mom’s, I told you so.

So, we agree to stay married.

At least until the end of next season.

And in the meantime, we’ll enjoy our off-the-charts chemistry.

The benefits of being married, he says.

What can go wrong?

After all, it’s only sex.

BIG MISTAKE!

Claudia Burgoa never ceases to amaze me with her impressive writing style and creative mind. Her books are engrossing and I just love getting lost in the world she creates, it is escapism at its best. And she gives us another Spearman brother to fall in love with in this fourth book set in her “Paradise Bay Billionaire” series, a professional hockey player and captain of the Portland Orcas. Caspian had a memorable hookup with a woman he met at his brother’s vineyard and no one compared to her since and the next time he sees her, she is with one of his teammates, one he does not get along with. Polaris ‘Rys’ Vega was that hookup and she had a feeling he was a player and she was right when she learned who Caspian really was, a professional hockey player and a teammate of the man she was dating. When she goes to Vegas to surprise her man, turns out she was in for a surprise and not a good one. She heads to the bar to drink away her sorrows, and winds up seeing Caspian once again. And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Wrong! A night of drinking and having fun leads to wedded bliss, that is until the next day when Rys realized what she had done, not to mention the news catching wind of it and trending on social media. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with charming characters, plenty of drama, a touch of angst, heartfelt emotions, and some steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, as always, Claudia Burgoa cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did an amazing job with these characters, giving each their own voice and personality. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, taking each role and making their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the characters’ emotions, projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

This Spearman family is like coming home! Claudia Burgoa has created such a great world with this family. Each sibling a different personality and one so easily relatable. This one features the hockey player! Caspian left home as quick as he could after his father's death and sought after his dream of becoming a professional hockey player. He comes home during his breaks and met Rys for that one night. That one unforgettable night. Now she has once again in his sights after she sees his rival and her boyfriend with another woman, and they are in Vegas. After a crazy night, they are married, and now have to deal with the aftermath. Staying married is the best option for both, but will they be able to pull it off? Fun! Fun! Fun! These two have amazing chemistry and fun banter. The siblings are all over him, full of advice and add to the excitement. Love this couple as they figure out their way!

And making it even better is the narration. Teddy Hamilton is our confident hockey player, and he understands Cas perfectly. He adds to his charm and makes him irresistible. CJ Bloom is Rys, a little hesitant, a bit on edge, but full of passion and love. These two are wonderful together!
