Summoned to a historic Tudor manor, Jason and Daniel are charged with investigating the heart-wrenching murder of two small boys. To discover who would have a motive to commit such a heinous crime, they must delve into the unexpectedly complicated relationships between the manor’s inhabitants.

Untangling a web of secrets leads them closer to the truth and directly into the sights of a killer, who will stop at nothing to escape justice. Will Redmond and Haze solve the case before one of them pays the ultimate price?

I have again really enjoyed listening to this intriguing story from this series. The author, characters and narrator were great as usual.

Yet another great listening experience from this series.

I’m enjoying listening to this series, and I’m really grateful to Audible for sharing it free during summer 2025.

If, like me, you have listen to all the books so far you definitely know what to expect, but the author still manages to come up with interesting plots, and I do like when characters from previous books are featured again.

Daniel is, once again, much more unlucky than Jason and I’m not sure if the author is deliberately portraying the Detective to be so unpleasant, while the Doctor is loved by everyone, even by odious Lucinda!

Another interesting case for Daniel and Jason

I can normally work out who the perpetrator is, but couldn't with this one.

Daniel and Jason make a brilliant crime fighting team. The characters are well written and the narration is excellent. I am off to download the next book.

Another brilliant story.
