They were the DeMeo gang - the most deadly hit men in organized crime. Their Mafia higher-ups came to know, use, and ultimately fear them as the Murder Machine. They killed for profit and for pleasure, following cold-blooded plans and wild whims, from the mean streets of New York to the Florida Gold Coast, and from coast to coast.

Now complete with personal revelations of one of the key players, this is the savage story that leaves no corpse unturned in its terrifying telling.

Found it very difficult to follow a lot going on so many names not the best of narrators . He needs to take a breath every now and then .
There’s no story just murder after murder after murder !

This is probably the best book on the Mafia on audible and I have them all. Once you get a few chapters into this, it will have dispelled any romantic perception that people have about the Mafia and it’s not for the squeamish or faint hearted.

Amazing read!!!

Fascinating, gruesome, superb narration. An intimate look into a world of darkness, depravity and torment.

Listen with a stiff drink.

If you’re interested in the subject matter, you’ll love the material, detail and pacing of this insane true story.

The audio recording is pretty poor though, lots of re-dubs where it sounds like they needed to edit out a cough or some such during a longer reading and the change in vocal tone is really noticeable, several dozen times. Got quite annoying. Great book though!

One of the best books written on the mafia
