MEET ABBY FINCH. SHE’S THE BUSY MUM OF THREE, AN EXPERT GARDENER AND THE STAR OF YOUR NEW FAVOURITE COZY MURDER MYSTERY.

In the peaceful Cotswolds village of Maybridge, you wouldn’t expect to find a dead body in the rose garden. And certainly not two.

Abby is horrified to discover the bones of a baby buried under a rose bush. It’s in the garden of her soon-to-be ex-husband Howard’s family home.

She immediately calls the police. But she can’t get hold of Howard. He’s off on a jolly with the woman he’s got pregnant.

And then, just two days later, Abby finds Howard himself.
Lying dead in the very same rose garden.
Throat slashed with her own garden spade.

Now Abby is the prime suspect . . .

I stayed with it but found the number of characters and back references somewhat confusing. No more in this series for me but I can see why it appeals to others hence the many 5 star reviews

a bit different for me. I enjoyed it very much and will read the next book 📖 😀 the story was very good and not to many people in it so not confusing 😉

I love a cozy, gently paced, murder mystery and this one ticked every box for me. Plenty to keep me guessing while the plot unfolded. Very glad I downloaded it - so often I start these types of stories and just give up on them. The narrator has a really lovely soft voice and easy to relax to.

Kept me interested right to the end.

A more realistic exploration of the way some one caught up in a police investigation would react, cooperate and be supported.

Realistic relationship between police and victim

A very enjoyable listen. Storyline was a little convoluted, but it did keep my interest.
