29 Brand-New Sci-Fi Horror Stories. The future is now, and it's not what we were promised. The optimistic science fiction of old was wrong. Progress is not linear, technology creates as many problems as it solves, and the concept of a better tomorrow has become an abstraction that is in no way guaranteed. When looking at the future now, we no longer ask what is possible, we wonder how we'll cope. Contained within this anthology are 29 never-before-published works by supremely talented authors. Brace yourself for the all too real horrors of what could very well be our terribly monstrous futures.

An enjoyable and interesting collection of short stories of near futures that go from are not quite right to quite horrifying. There isn't a single story in the collection I didn't enjoy and more than a few that I wish I could have had more of. I can't go into detail in any of the stories as I think most of them work best coming into their worlds cold. I would callout some of my highlights but then I'd just be listing about a third of the collection. There are a few stories whose concepts remind me of some covered in shows or movies I've watched but most are either new (to me) concepts or explored from a unique standpoint.

I was given a free copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review which has not been influenced by the party that provided it.

Enjoyable collection of short stories

The stories are not much cop. You wonder where they are going, and they just end. The narrator sounds like a mutant blow fly buzzing around in a death cycle.

Not good.

I enjoyed most of the stories. the one star is due to no clear and visible lgbtq trigger warning on the audiobook. I expect all stories including lgbtq themes to be labeled clearly so I can avoid starting a book I might not enjoy. gay themes for the sake of gay themes is the most cringe worthy thing our society has done in the last 20 years. stop funneling this shit down my feed.

good stories, needs lgbtq trigger warning
