For 200 years, monsters have terrorized the wilds.

The only thing keeping humanity safe: Monster Tamers.

Orphaned during a wild monster attack when he was young, Dirk has always wanted to join the Monster Tamer Academy. Becoming a Tamer involves bonding with a monster to unlock one’s access to magic. As a Tamer raises their bond, both the Tamer and their monster grow stronger.

After bonding with a quirky and mischievous monster, Dirk will start near the bottom, but he’s determined to reach the highest tiers of Tamers.

The Academy needs Tamers like him because something big is coming, a monster larger and deadlier than anyone can imagine.

And Dirk may be the only one able to stop it.

Unfortunately, wild monsters may not be humanity’s only threat.

If you love monster-catching stories similar to Pokémon, unlockable elemental magic abilities, and Weak to Strong Progression LITRPG fantasy novels, Monster Tamer Academy is for you.

A monster academy with actual monsters rather than monster girls and the like. Also the monsters are interesting and the world seems fairly fun if dangerous to explore

Actual Monsters

The first half of the book, the intro is way too drawn out. A lot of action but slow story development until half way through the book. The tier development and advancement is almost laughable at first. Very weak, weak, strong, very strong etc. Did a child name these? But you soon to get used to it. Would also like to add that there isn't a single monster in this book, only beasts or creatures. There is a difference. The second half of the book is much better with a more satisfying story plot progression and a good climax to this chapter of the series. Good performances by the narrators.

Good Intro but.....

the author uses the word monster around a dozen times per sentence. I'm a few chapters in and after hearing the word monster several hundred times I can't keep listening. please get an editor.
