Who wants to settle for fleeting treasures on earth... when God offers everlasting treasures in Heaven? It’s time to rethink our perspectives on money and possessions. In this thoroughly researched and extensively updated classic, Randy Alcorn shows us how to view them accurately—as God’s provision for our good, the good of others, and his glory. Alcorn presents a biblical and comprehensive view of money and possessions, including the following: Why is money so important to God? Is prosperity theology right or wrong? How can we be liberated from materialism? What should we do about debt? How much does God want us to give? How can we best help the poor and reach the lost? What about gambling? investing? insurance? saving? retirement? inheritance? How can we leave our children a true heritage? How can we use money in ways that God rewards? Randy challenges Christians to live to our calling as the light of the world. He challenges us to see money for what it really is - a servant, a tool bequeathed to us by the real owner of all - God. He teaches complete detachment from the temptation to deal selfishly with The Master’s resources but rather to act as stewards and to lead our homes and communities to do the same. In a nutshell, his message is - The money is not yours but God’s, learn from Him what He wants you to do with it and be prepared to do to the uttermost whatever he says trusting that He has a reward for your obedience.

An incredibly challenging view on money and possessions

Brilliant book. Randy Alcorn narrates probably the best Christian book I have ever read on the subjects of money and eternity. If you haven’t read this I would highly recommend that you buy a copy for yourself and for your church!
