This was an incredibly detailed and interesting book totally spoiled by a childlike, and sometimes almost witch like narrator. Mispronunciations everywhere. If you can get past that I can recommend.

Fantastic story, AWFUL narrator

The narration ruined this book for me. I persevered until the end but the mispronunciations and babyish voice was grating. Why did Jane and her husband George sound like little children?

I can’t work out what the accent is! Certainly not that of a middle aged English woman as I would have expected.
Couldn’t concentrate on the story. I’m out!!

tedious narration ruined by cringe worthy mistakes !! Beaulieu and St Giles are 2 of the most grating errors. Story had potential but ...

Narration was a little odd, but I got used to it. Really great book otherwise and I would love to hear the rest in the series.
