In my world, marriage is a transaction between two families. Nothing more.

So, when the head of the Mancini crime family approaches me with an offer to marry his daughter in exchange for what I need to destroy my enemy, I accept.

But when a woman I've never heard of shows up on the contract, questions arise.

If forcing her hand in marriage is what it takes to get what I want, then so be it. A wife was never meant to be anything more than a business transaction. A means to an end.

She might be easy on the eyes, a pretty little brunette with curves I want to sink myself into, but her sharp tongue and even sharper attitude may just be my undoing.

I make it a point to know everyone I need to know in this world, so that begs the question—who the hell is this woman?

Matteo is a dual POV mafia romance with mature themes, profanity, and open-door spice.

I really liked the female narrator here, it suited the female character, on the other hand male narrator sounded weak and older, it wasn’t good match for me. Our heroine is naive, with some stronger moments, but overall it suited her character. Our male main character was typicall possesive alpha don which you expect when you read mafia story 😊 the plot line was average but I must admit I haven’t expected villan to be the one who he/she was, taht was pleasant suprise for me. So overall it was ok read and included in audible I won’t regret to listen to it. I would listen to Isabella as well, but only if it would be included in audible subscritpion 😊

Mafia story with great female narrator

This was an amazing book. Loved the story and MC's. As this was a duel POV audiobook, with 2 voice actors I wasn't expecting the MC's to read each others lines. It was really distracting having the MMC suddenly speaking in a girly voice to read the FMC's lines and vice versa, Or am I expecting to much? Other than that it was great. Will definitely get the book and read it again.

Fast paced and a bit cliche, but still very enjoyable. Definitely an easy read.
