Mary Kate Malone runs away to Liverpool and into all kinds of trouble in this sequel to Shadows In Heaven - from the bestselling author of The Four Streets trilogy and the Lovely Lane series.

Liverpool, 1963. Mary Kate Malone is seventeen and bitterly unhappy that her father has married again after the death of her mother. On her last day at school, she decides to leave home in Tarabeg on the west coast of Ireland and head for Liverpool to find her mother's sister. But absolutely nothing goes to plan. Within hours of disembarking, she finds herself penniless and alone, with no place to stay and no idea how she will survive. Meanwhile, back in Ireland, where old sins cast long shadows, a long-buried secret is about to come to light and a day of reckoning, in the shape of a stranger from America, will set an unstoppable chain of events in motion.

Praise for the Author: “As heart-warming as it is heartbreaking, this novel is unputdownable.” SUNDAY EXPRESS©2019 Nadine Dorries (P)2019 W. F. Howes Ltd Historical Historical Fiction Kadın Kurgu Kurgu Romantik World Literature

Love these books. Have nearly read all of Nadine Dorries books. Story telling at its best.

Well written, well read

Sadly the attempt at a Liverpool accent which by far missed the mark, ruined listening to the book for me.

Great story, terrible narrative

Yet another great book from Nadine, I really hope there is a follow on. through out heartbreak & tears there is such humour. I do love the characters & the sense of community in Tarabeg & Liverpool. I love the Narrative too, such great ascents & feelings her her voice. Excellent.

I loved this book

love these stories by Nadine , and although the narrator tells the story well she certainly hasn't mastered the Liverpool accent, she'd have been better not trying !

Great story

Once again Nadine Dorries has written a story that draws you in.....keeps you wanting more.
The narrators Liverpool accent was terrible providing a Yorkshire twist instead. Luckily this didn't spoil the storyline.

left me wanting more.
