Its one of those series that you have to read and re read. The story telling brings the characters and the surroundings to life.

Can't wait to see where the next novel leads.

Both story and characters develop in this instalment of the series with quite drastic results. can't wait for the next book!

This book carries on in the way I think we all would have expected with the stupid humans doing exactly what they were obviously going to do. So no great surprises in the plot.

The series has grown and is easy to follow, starting with just a few characters and then gradually adding more. The first 2 books were more or less told from Meg's viewpoint gradually adding more and more characters. Its a good way to build a series, the downside is there is much less of Meg and Simon in this book than the earlier books which I missed.
The book itself is excellent though and if you've read books 1 to 3 you should enjoy this one just as much.

Now got an annoying wait until March 2017 for Etched in Bone (probably longer for Audible version) for the next installment

As an aside I'm currently trying to get to grips with Bishop's much earlier Black Jewels series book 1 which unfortunately is not available on Audible UK and its much harder to follow so I think her writing style has definitely improved with time.
