Books 1-8 of the New York Times bestselling Magic Tree House series plus an interview with Mary Pope Osborne!

Meet Jack and Annie!

Jack and his younger sister, Annie, are just regular kids. But when they discover a tree house in the woods, something magical happens. In books 1-4, Jack and Annie are whisked back in time to the Age of Dinosaurs, a medieval castle, ancient pyramids, and treasure-seeking pirates. In books 5-8, Jack and Annie's friend, Morgan le Fay, is in trouble! They must find four "M" things to free her from a spell. Their adventures take them to meet a ninja master in ancient Japan, flee a crocodile on the Amazon River, discover the cave people of the Ice Age, and blast off to the moon in the future. It's a difficult and dangerous mission, but Jack and Annie will do anything to save a friend!

Audiobooks in this set include: Dinosaurs Before Dark (#1), The Knight at Dawn (#2), Mummies in the Morning (#3), Pirates Past Noon (#4), Night of the Ninjas (#5), Afternoon on the Amazon (#6), Sunset of the Sabertooth (#7), and Midnight on the Moon (#8).

Mary Pope Osborne brings together just the right combination of history, magic, and fast-paced adventure to satisfy kids, parents, teachers, and librarians all over the world with her New York Times bestselling series.

"Osborne's narration is low-key and well-paced. A great way to introduce children who are reluctant readers or can't yet read to this highly entertaining book series and to reading in general."--Chicago Parent

“Osborne's soothing, beautifully articulated voice and knack for characterization are reliably pleasing."--AudioFile Action & Adventure Historical Historical Fiction Literature & Fiction Science Fiction & Fantasy Kids Collection

Any additional comments?

For younger children but def appreciated by them. Short sections with enough action to hold attention.

Enjoyable

I was hoping for more from this but really should've listened to the clip before buying. The author reads in a girly, sing-song voice, with very little emphasis or feeling. Fine for younger kids, but I'm trying to balance a 5 and 7 yr old boys requirements.

My 7 year old has read loads of the print books and we really enjoyed them. However listening to them read this way, really highlights the basic nature of the vocabulary (he said / she said / look over there I said / where over there she said ... argh).

Although the boys haven't asked to actually turn it off, they aren't really excited. This feels young and girly, which is a real shame, because the print books are excellent.

Great reading books - Weak audiobook

I really enjoyed The Magic Tree House collection, great fun even though they are for younger children - I think they are brilliant. These books are fun and full of as much adventure as two young children can have.

My little brother loves this collection, so I would really recommend them for young kids (but also enjoyable for their older sisters!) Jodie age 14

Good fun for young listeners

The Magic Treehouse series one books are amazing even though I have only read one! Here is my review on Dinosaurs Before Dark:
Jack and Annie find an ancient, old treehouse and find it packed with books! The pair of them go looking through the books until Jack points to a picture from the Jurassic period of time and they find themselves transported to that exact place! To find out more, go and use your credit to buy this eight series set. It will not be a waste!

Reviews on books 2-8, wait until February or March!!!!!!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
