The Hierophant is dead.

The forest Megadungeon is open.

The Littans want their city back.

While Arlo contends with the many new demands his fresh crown has earned him, the wider world is on edge in the wake of yet another disaster. The powers that be have their collective eye on Fortune’s Folly. Two-faced allies, sewer-dwelling spies, and overconfident assassins are just a few of the consequences of such notoriety.

Still, blood-streaked politics might be the least of Fortune’s Folly’s worries. An endless maze of Dungeons fills the Less-Than-Habitable Forest, and something deadly lurks at its center, something that the city-killing Hierophant had been running from.

Time to find out what that is.

Book 5 of Mage Tank, a new Isekai LitRPG adventure that features steady progression, intelligent characters who spend time making intentional build choices, and tons of laughs.

In the habit of not spoiling anything, I won't share any details but those last few moments somehow revealed so much whilst still being extremely cryptic. I really want to see where this story goes next, always a fan of the books with fun and diverse character casts and this is a top in that regard.

That was an effective epilogue.

the performance continues to be amazing, and the story continues to unfold with greater and greater stakes.

however this entry into the system is quite slow on overall plot with a lot happening but not much progressing, it feels like to great acts of a 3 act story.

the next book should be quite interesting.

good but slow

Absolutely loved the repurposed Douglas Adams quote relating to the creation of the Avatars

bit slow on the plot progression. I'm sure the builds will be op and it will be great but better to see in action.

Good continuation
