Penguin presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of Mad by Chloe Esposito, read by Emily Atack.

Seven days of sin. Seven days of secrets. Seven days to steal her sister's life.

Beth has always been the golden girl, leaving her identical twin, Alvie, in her shadow. She has everything Alvie ever wanted - the money, the hot husband, the cute baby, the fast car.

So when she invites Alvie for seven sun-drenched days at her luxury villa in Sicily, Alvie accepts. Just because Alvie can't stand Beth doesn't mean she can't enjoy a slice of her decadent lifestyle.

But her usually goody-two-shoes twin has a hidden agenda. And when the sisters swap identities for a day, it ends badly for Beth. Very badly.

It's Alvie's chance to steal the life that she deserves . . .

If she can get away with it.

Sizzlingly glamorous
This summer's raciest read . . . The must-have beach read for millennials this summer
A summer read to make you hotter than the weather outside . . . you'd be mad not to find room for this in your case
A fast-paced tale of sex, lies and murder . . . Sex and the City dialled up several notches
The white-hot debut
Gone Girl plus . . . Esposito has added a dollop of Bridget Jones to the mix
So begins this caper that has Alvina up to her neck in designer labels, hot sex and trouble . . . outrageous - it kept me reading
I just read Mad in one go. I bloody LOVED it. Like Gone Girl, if Amy Schumer had written it. SUCH fun (Bryony Gordon)
One of the most compelling and hilarious characters we've come across in a long time. Warning: this brilliant and dark book is not for the faint-hearted
Like The Devil Wears Prada - fast-paced, but funnier and more readable

A delightful novel; endless plot and twists, and laced with black comedy. Thoroughly enjoyable; a very talented narrator as well. I can't wait for the next two installments to come out!

One of the best books I've ever encountered

Heard the author talking about this on the radio last week so thought I would give it a go. I think I was expecting something completely different!
It's quite funny in parts but in a completely predictable way, even the gory bits are comical. No surprises, no sub- plot, none of the characters are alive long enough for them to become of any interest, full of anomalies and incongruities.
However........ fun for a summer holiday read.
I won't be rushing out to get the sequel or to see the film!

Quite good for a holiday read

this was a light fun book to listen to. chick lit with an edge. Bridgette Jones diary crossed with a light hearted mafia escapade! lots of chuckles.

Psychotic Bridgette Jones......

Would you listen to Mad again? Why?

I absolutely would. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm not sure what I would call this genre, I was looking for a holiday read but this book has become a firm favourite. It demonstrated every persons inner psychopath...perhaps not on the same scale as Alvi!! I honestly could visualise every minute of this book, and would love for it to become a film.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I adored Alvina, her ability to slip in and out of the portrayal of her sister would incredible. It was great to see these psychotic attributes in a leading female - Alvi having played a particularly MAD and BAD character - a character that in my choice of books is usually played by a man.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!

I'll be a lost Audible soul until Bad is released!

If you don't take this book too seriously - then its very enjoyable & hilarious! Quite explicit content so not suitable for everyone. But it does have a storyline that weaves through a variety of topics and places (even if rather tongue in cheek) and the narrator's performance is excellent.

Hilarious...but not for everyone
