So, you are stuck with having to revise Macbeth, a Scottish play by a dead Tudor dude with a lousy haircut. In the next 30 minutes, I am going to make this revision process as pain free as possible. Trust me.

William Lloydson takes a break from his YouTube day job and adopts an alias to bring you this amusing approach to your English Literature revision.

There is a summary section giving you a breakdown of exactly what happens in the play. There are notable quotes, a section on themes and some character analysis, and finally, a look at some of the exam questions that seem to appear regularly.

This was an okay short audio guide to Macbeth. The narrator was good, with a clear and easy-to-follow reading style, and the guide itself gave a useful overview of the play.

However, I picked this up expecting the humorous element promised in the title, and I’m still not entirely sure where that was! For something marketed as a humorous guide, I expected a few more laughs or at least a more light-hearted approach.

Useful as a quick, clearly narrated introduction to Macbeth, but a little disappointing if, like me, you were expecting the comedy alongside the Shakespeare.

Clear and Informative, but Where Was the Humour?
