*Featuring a new, intimate introduction from the wonderful Jessie Burton talking about what Jackie and her books mean to her! Discover the empowerment, sex, scandal and glamour of Lucky, a book ‘so hot it will have to be printed on asbestos’, from the insatiable number one bestseller Jackie Collins.*

In the world of the rich, love and power are just games to play – and Lucky Santangelo is determined to win . . .

Lucky is a woman with the strength and determination to accomplish anything. A shrewd businesswoman in a world of demanding old men and petty women, Lucky rules with an iron grip - when she wants something, she gets it, no matter who she is up against. But she's not the only player and this game certainly isn't fair . . .

There's Lennie Golden, a comic struggling to make it, who has been spurned by love before,
Olympia Stanislopoulos, an oft-married heiress with a penchant for cocaine,
Dmitri Stanislopoulos, a rich man used to getting his way, and
Santino Bonatti, a man determined to get revenge on the Santangelos no matter the cost.

As their lives become entwined and the stakes grow higher and higher, the thirst for revenge is never far away. It will take all the backbone Lucky possesses to reach the climax that she deserves - and come out on top . . .

Although Jackie Collins could never claim any literary awards, she writes well enough for this not to matter a jot. This is a very entertaining romp through the world of the super-rich, and serves as a good time capsule of the 1970s - along with the language and attitudes of the age. Jackie’s granddaughter India provides the narration and brings the world of her grandmother to vivid life.

I wasn't 100% sure about the narrator to start off with but she grew on me quickly. I know and love this book so much I'm glad I can rate the audio version highly too. Now please get more JC on audio!

I remember reading this book on a holiday in Greece and loving it. Thirty years later it’s still enjoyable. The narrator, the author’s granddaughter, brings it alive. I hope she narrates more of her grandmother’s book.

Great book brought to life.

I read the book over 15 years ago, but listening to the story and read by India, made me feel like I was in every location. The added interview at the end also gave you an insight into Jackie Collins life.

Made the book, come to life

Love the book, read it years ago and wanted to reread, but couldn't take to the narrator, the timing and rhythm of the reading is off. A shame because I do love this book.

Great book but...
