Apocalypse now?

Geryon Wynter, the brilliant Elizabethan mystic, has achieved resurrection and returned to present-day Rotherweird. But after the chaos of Election Day, how can a stranger from another time wrest control? And for what fell purpose is Wynter back?

His dark conspiracy reaches its climax in this unique corner of England, where the study of history is forbidden and neither friend nor foe are quite what they seem.

The stakes could not be higher, for at the endgame, not only Rotherweird is under threat. The future of mankind itself hangs in the balance.

I loved the first two books and was looking forward to a really dark and disturbing section before getting to the part where the good guys save the day. It wasn't anywhere as dark as I hoped for and even after a couple of listens I'm not entirely convinced I understand some parts of the story (or that parts of the story make sense). Still it is a good story.

Good but was expecting something much darker

I have loved the Rotherwierd trilogy, this last book doesn’t disappoint. It’s been such a carefully drawn story, with excellent characters, wonderfully described, different realities and worlds that leap off the page. I know it’s a trilogy I will probably keep retuning to, really balanced and good narration. Many thanks an excellent listen.

Brilliant last book, wonderful trilogy

Really found this really quirky and very english mix of mystery & humour it kept me guessing as the story unfolded. The description of the town and inhabitants was very well narrated. So much layered levels will need to revisit soon to do it full justice.

Dave from Dudley: Found the trilogy enchanting.

Absolutely brilliant! Wonderfully drawn, individual, characters; an excellent plot, with dark undertones running through it, which make you feel like you've been enjoying an apple, only to find half a grub in the middle, when you come across them. wish there were more books in the series...not that there wasn't a satisfactory ending, I'm just greedy when it comes to such original fiction 😉
