Meghan Smith has always been a protective mother. Her baby son, Harry, has a life-threatening condition and is never far from her sight. But on the evening of her wedding anniversary, as she and her husband celebrate in the garden with friends, Harry disappears from his cot without a trace.

In an instant, the perfect life she always longed for is in tatters, her family exposed to interrogation and accusation in the glare of media attention. But none of it gets Meghan answers - or brings back her son.

As her life unravels and suspicion takes hold of her sanity, Meghan begins to question everything she once took for granted. Can she trust her husband? Can she trust her friends? Can she even trust herself?

thoroughly enjoyable - not sure if at all gripping and perhaps limited in terms of possible suspects, but to be fair I didn't expect the one it was. Hats off to the narrator absolutely brilliantly done. I would without a doubt recommend. Not sure how many kidnapped/missing children books I can do - once you've done one you've more or less done the lot. So glad this was my first pick

Any additional comments?

This is the worsed thing that could happen to if your a parent. This book would make me break out in a cold sweat at times, because all you can think about is how you would feel if it happened to one of your kids. You go on this journey with Meghan through the kidnap and the relationships, husband, friends and police.
