Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Lock Every Door written by Riley Sager, read by Stephanie Cannon.

You've been offered a luxury apartment, rent free. The catch: you may not live long enough to enjoy it…

No visitors. No nights spent away from the apartment. No disturbing the other residents.
These are the only rules for Jules Larson's new job as apartment sitter for an elusive resident of the Bartholomew, one of Manhattan's most high-profile private buildings and home to the super rich and famous.

Recently heartbroken and practically homeless, Jules accepts the terms, ready to leave her past life behind.

Out of place among the extremely wealthy, Jules finds herself pulled toward other apartment sitter Ingrid. But Ingrid confides that the Bartholomew is not what it seems and the dark history hidden beneath its gleaming facade is starting to frighten her. Jules brushes it off as a harmless ghost story - but the next day, her new friend has vanished.
And then Jules discovers that Ingrid is not the first temporary resident to go missing…

Welcome to the Bartholomew…You may never leave.

Jules is a perfect character, you end up really gunning for her.
Excellent ending, all those loose ends get tied up nicely 😊

Must read

Premise: great. Twist: awesome. Characters: not unbelievable. Writing style: enjoyable. But omg how many crime fiction books do I have to read where the protagonist makes daft decision after daft decision and takes a million years to piece together really obvious clues? It's so frustrating because large parts of the plot hinge on the main character making stupid mistakes. Right to the end, she is still blindingly oblivious of risk, and this kind of ruined the whole book for me.

An imperfect page turner

Second Riley Sager book I’ve listened too and enjoyed. Mysterious, creepy, enjoyable. Narrator can be a little irritating but not enough to stop me from listening.

Entertaining

It’s all a bit ridiculous and far fetched but it’s an addictive read. Very enjoyable and well read by the narrator

Pretty good

I started listening to this audiobook 3 days ago and couldn’t stop till I found out the mystery of the building! A great thriller which had a good few twists (some more predictable than others)

Really hooked
