This book is perfect for those just setting out on their homesteading journey. This is the most comprehensive book I have found on the subject. I am not a homesteader but draw incredible value from the information presented in the book and have implemented many of the practices. Everything contained in the book is valuable to understand even if you don't intend to practice it yourself.

This book would also be amazing to have on hand in the event of a crisis. It describes how to use plants for some medical uses and how to do all of the things described for free or as low cost as possible.

Maybe it is a particular accent that I am not familiar with, but it genuily sounded like I was on a tv commercial from the 90's. Some comments even sounded sarcastic because of the tone. never got used to it, got me distracted all along othe than that, is a good review bullet point of every aspect of living of grid, so it's a good starting point.

This book is fabulous and I've only scratched the surface reading it. Every chapter is informative and so helpful! I've been trying to plan a garden to feed our family for several weeks and I've been sifting through information from all across the web, but this has everything I need all in one easy-to-understand place.
