Meet Callista Orson. All she wants is to be a good detective.

But being a female, and a shifter, makes the job harder than it should. It doesn't help that every time she tries to prove herself, she falls flat - usually on her ass.

And not to mention...her dad's the Chief of Police.

This small-town police department is a family affair. Her sisters, Carmen, Cassidy, Charlotte, and Dakota, all don a badge and gun too.

With no brothers, her dad taught them everything he knew about being a cop. So naturally, the girls wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Will Callista prove there is more to her than being just another pretty face? Callista and her sisters will work hard to prove themselves as cops and kick a little ass....

Oh, and fall in love along the way.

Because what kind of life would it be without a little romance and heat?!

Mature listener warning: This book contains a lot of panty-dropping sexiness! There is raw sexual language (aka dirty talk), a little violence, and tons of heat! It is intended for listeners 18+ and fans of the naughty stuff. If that's you, then be sure to check out all of LC Taylor's books!

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, Callista is a sassy kickass woman although ends up on her butt a fair few times in rather interesting situations. I really enjoyed her relationships with her family was interesting dynamic with sisters rather than a family of brothers being the shifters as it often is. There’s plenty of mystery in this book too and ends on a cliffhanger. If anything I wished it was a bit longer!

Lipstick & Lead is a fantastic listen with loads of suspense, mystery, thrill, and drama. It's well-plotted and well-paced with intriguing characters; I was wholly entertained. Holly Holt did an excellent job with the narration and the character's voices, bringing the story to life. I definitely enjoyed this audiobook and will recommend it. This book has a no nonsense, straight forward storyline. It’s refreshing to listen to a book that doesn’t fill pages/minutes just to fill it out. Great narration from Holly.

This was an excellent book, with lots of mystery, excitement, sexy shifters and of course hot sexy romance. This does end in a cliffhanger and its a doozy, but you wont want to miss this book it was very well written and definitely worth the listen. the narrator did a great job of portraying each character, her voice was one you want to listen to and hear more of. all in all this book is a must listen / read, I can't wait to find out what happens next!
