In the Garden of Eden, at the beginning of time, an outrageous lie is born: that women are inferior…
Lilith and Adam are equal and happy in the Garden of Eden. But when Adam decides Lilith should submit to his will and lie beneath him, she refuses – and is banished forever from Paradise.
Demonised and sidelined, Lilith watches in fury as God creates Eve, the woman who accepts her submission. But Lilith has a secret: she has already tasted the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. Endowed with Wisdom, she knows why Asherah – God’s wife and equal, the Queen of Heaven – is missing. Lilith has a plan: she will rescue Eve, find Asherah, restore balance to the world and regain her rightful place in Paradise.©2023 Nikki Marmery (P)2023 W. F. Beautifully ‘read’ by Lara Sawahla you brought Lilith’s voice to life. An ancient tale brining a new perspective and and angle to tales that we know well. Really developing the storyline of how our male female imbalance came about. I feel invigorated!

Fantastic storytelling and a perfect voice

The start was really intresting though as an sa survivor the rape scene was a hard one. The story starts with three important things to the MC Lillith: Adam and later Eve and eywa the mother godess. however not even halfway through the story it gets mentioned that they are dead so the entire ploytline is just gone. This made me loose interest as the story felt directionless. It had potential and the narration was good.

Good start bad continuation

A slow burning story spanning millennia. Both relaxing and engrossing to listen to. Infuriating, vindicating, and empowering. Performance was spot on.

Serene yet emotive listening experience

Extraordinary. A gift for all womankind. Writing becomes repetitive at times but I think this is intentional, mimicing the parallelism of religious texts and mirroring the cyclical nature of tragic humanity.

Phenomenal
