This is how it ends. Leviathan Falls is the explosive final novel in the New York Times bestselling and Hugo Award–winning Expanse series, now a major TV series.

The Laconian Empire has fallen, setting the thirteen hundred solar systems free from the rule of Winston Duarte. But the ancient enemy that killed the gate builders is awake, and the war against our universe has begun again.

In the dead system of Adro, Elvi Okoye leads a desperate scientific mission to understand what the gate builders were and what destroyed them, even if it means compromising herself and the half-alien children who bear the weight of
her investigation. Through the wide-flung systems of humanity, Colonel Aliana Tanaka hunts for Duarte’s missing daughter … and the shattered emperor himself.

And on the Rocinante, James Holden and his crew struggle to build a future for humanity out of the shards and ruins of all that has come before.

As nearly unimaginable forces prepare to annihilate all human life, Holden and a group of unlikely allies discover a last, desperate chance to unite all of humanity, with the promise of a vast galactic civilization free from wars, factions, lies, and secrets if they win.

But the price of victory may be worse than the cost of defeat.©2021 Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (P)2021 Recorded Books Adventure First Contact Kurgu Science Fiction Space Exploration Space Opera Yıldızlararası Samimi

Skilful blend of excellent visionary and far-reaching, but somehow believable, hard sci-fi and incredibly engaging human characters, including some excellent grey and humanly fallible ones.

The whole series is my absolute favourite in sci-fi and possibly all fiction. AND the writers managed to complete it - unlike some other authors I’m not going to mention here …

As an aside: the TV series was good but nowhere near as all encompassing and expansive (!) as the book series.

I urge anyone into this genre and those new to it to read this series - you’re in for a great journey!

Enjoy!

Trying to fit alot into this . Unfortunately, though enjoyable didn't quite tick all the boxes for me. Perhaps that's common in all saga's. A brief 8min glimpse of how it all turned out is all we get.

Bittersweet ending for our old friends

Phenomenal ending to an amazing series. Packed with action, emotion and some of the best story telling out there.

Audio book narration was as excellent as it's always been in this series - Jefferson is a master at bringing the characters to life

What a way to end the series!!!

But it feels like there is more to this, so I hope one day we get a continuation. Doesn't suffer with the GOT series disappointment, if anything like all good things it just leaves you wanting more.

Now I'm just sad it's over
