"Nail bitingly, skin chillingly insane. A real deep crime thriller" - Booktok

"A dark twist in almost every corner" - Bookstagram

An old evil. A new nightmare.

As the head of the Major Investigation Team, Detective Inspector Laura Warburton must catch a killer that is preying on vulnerable women. The case strikes dangerously close to home for Laura. Once a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her ex-fiancé, Laura escaped with a shattered reputation, a drinking problem and tormented memories.

With the body count piling up, Laura barely holds herself together as she finds and pieces together the fragmented clues at the crime scenes. Like breadcrumbs, the clues lead her down a dark road to a past she wishes to forget. Trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse, is this a new evil in her life? Or is something much more sinister at play?

From the best-selling author of dark thrillers, Jay Darkmoore brings this new nail-biting crime thriller that will leave you guessing until the final word.

my review would be higher if it doesnt state from the start that there is a big twist. within a few chapters you can work out what is happening, which you I dont think would happen if you weren't already geared up for a twist.

for this reason the story dragged on until the inevitable happened and then you just feel like you wasted your time.

This annoyed me

This series as a whole is just so good! I read this book a while ago and listening to it was a different experience (this is my first time at listening to an audiobook.) The narrator spoke very clearly. If you don't mind graphic crime scenes and enjoy crime thrillers with twists I would recommend this audiobook to others.

Fans of dark crime thrillers.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, a new author for me and I can't wait for the next in the series to become available. Great narration.

Twists, gripping plot and can't put down!
