Mike McKnight had it all. A blockbuster movie career, wealth, and fame. But when he's convicted of a murder he doesn't remember, he's locked away in a psychiatric facility, drugged and forgotten. Then the world ends. A lethal virus sweeps the country, reanimating the dead and turning them into relentless, flesh-eating monsters. Trapped inside a collapsing asylum filled with maniacs and the infected, Mike seizes his chance to escape. But the world outside is worse than he ever imagined. With only a handful of survivors, he must navigate a wasteland teeming with the undead, uncover the dark origins of the outbreak, and fight to stay alive in a world where the only rule is kill or be eaten. LZR-1143: Infection is a relentless, edge-of-your-seat thriller with brutal action, shocking twists, and an unforgettable hero.©2010 Bryan James (P)2026 Bryan James Adventure Horror Post-Apocalyptic Science Fiction Zombi

Alot of Fluff and over description weaved between a potentially great story and character.

if the fluff was cut it would be great.
A better editor would of cut the over description and left a great story, instead its mediocre 50% of the time.

So close to great but only good

I have been a fan of these books for years. I always recommend this series to anyone wanting to read zombie books. Nice to see them out on audible. Cannot wait for the rest of them.

Just brilliant.

Having never experienced either the author nor the narrator I was pleasantly surprised just how good this was. Very interesting storyline with several twists on the genre making it sufficiently different to make it well above average. The narrator was exceedingly good at conveying the depth of the characters and the excitement of the story in the right context/places. Characters built well as did their stories making it an extremely engaging listen.

Pleasantly surprised
