As profound as it is engaging. Read to perfection. A real treat, and doubly so for anyone with ancestry in imperial Russia.

I listened to it for 2 hours and decided to stop. There was no plot, just a constant wave of information on various people and at one point, a vivid torture description which horrified me. I didn't feel any connection to any of the characters in the book un̈fortunately and was utterly bored.

Not for me
