Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between and depends entirely upon whom you ask....

Once companions on the greatest of adventures, Gotrek and Felix have long since gone their separate ways. Felix, married and settled, secretly craves the excitement of his youth. And when the opportunity arises, Felix embarks upon what might be his final journey. As the chaos of the End Times engulfs Kislev, Gotrek and Felix are reunited, battling the hordes of the Troll King alongside Ulrika, Snorri and Max. But when long-hidden secrets are revealed, these old friends will be torn apart, and not all of them will leave Kislev alive....

long term fan, this is a great return to form, even if it's almost over

The beginning of the end

The story was great and was tying up all the things I wanted it to…. However it suffers from the problem most 40k books do the authors feel the need to go on and on about details to the point of tedium which in turn takes away the easy read and easy listen aspect of the originals…

Good story with added 40k author drivel..

The first third of this book was slow for me but once the story unfolds and the gang get back together, the book gets into it's stride. The ending, I did not expect that ending! As for the performance, Jonathan Keeble does Stirling work on all the parts played, he is Gotrek 👍

Slow start but an emotional ending
