Now reimagined in audio, the world of KINGDOM COME, originally published to critical acclaim by DC Comics in 1996 as a four-issue comic book series, comes alive in a dynamic production featuring a full cast, sound effects, and music.

In the near-future world of KINGDOM COME, superheroes are ubiquitous, but heroism is rare. After decades as Earth's champions, the members of the Justice League have all retreated out of the public eye, replaced with a new generation of anti-heroic crime-fighters whose brand of justice leaves humanity terrified, rather than inspired. With the planet's future in jeopardy, Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman must come out of retirement to make one last stand for truth and justice...

Adapted from the work of writer Mark Waid and artist Alex Ross, this audio production brings one of the bestselling graphic novels into an original and exciting new format.

The audio adaptation of this really does the story and the artwork that made it so famous justice.

The best adaptation of the comic book

An excellent adaption of an incredible story. It’s been a while since I’ve read the comic series - Sometimes these adaptions of comic book stories can be lacking, or vague when changing between scenes/setting - but this was really well executed, the performances were great and the whole thing was thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend it

Hopefully they make more of these full cast adaptions.

I’m pretty amazed that I got to finish this in one day. Great story and scope to one of the best graphic novels by DC!

Best audio adaptation of all time!

Kingdom Come is one of my favourite comics and was excited to check this audio play out especially after I saw Dirk Maggs was involved
Not a perfect adaptation as much as I love Marc Thompson his Superman felt a tad too young to me and some scenes have a different delivery compared to the source material
I admit however thats probably nitpicking on my part I still enjoyed it and would recommend at least checking it out

Great Adaptation

You know you’re in for a good listen when Dirk Maggs takes the helm.

An enjoyable compelling post apocalyptic super hero story with a hopeful resolution and of course, another brilliant story with Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman.

Recommend for fans of the comic and for people who want a compelling not too dark entry into their full cast superhero collection.

Good riveting listen adapted by Dirk Maggs
